What is HMG People?

It is a digital series that introduces the many roles and the corporate culture inside Hyundai Motor Group through interviews with its employees, who talk about their roles and daily work. It was filmed in Seoul in 2022; greatminds handled interview filming and post-production. The project page carries the series teaser.

How large was the project?

It introduced more than 80 job roles across 54 Hyundai Motor Group subsidiaries. The goal was to explain each role accurately while authentically showing the people who do the work and the culture they drive.

Why employee interviews?

It reflects the rise of employee advocacy in branding. Employees' voices were positioned not only as a source of information for prospective talent but as storytellers of Hyundai Motor Group's culture itself.

How does it differ from a typical corporate interview?

Instead of stating the organisation's identity, it set out to visualise it as something lived. To capture both the company's values and the people who bring them to life, the series is built around employees' own voices and real episodes. The team explains that each person's story was mapped to a core value and role, so that individual voices add up to the bigger picture of the culture.

How was the look designed?

Lighting, colour and framing were used to create a modern, refined interview setting that embodies employees' forward-looking mindset. Beyond conveying professionalism, the series invites viewers to picture themselves as part of the group.

They are published in the "HMG 피플" (HMG People) playlist on Hyundai Motor Group's YouTube channel. 51 full episodes made by greatminds are there; in each, one employee from an affiliate such as Hyundai Motor, Kia, Hyundai Mobis, Hyundai AutoEver, Hyundai Capital, Hyundai WIA or Hyundai E&C introduces their role and how they work.
